In early 2003 Air Livery set up a respray shop in the East Bay of the main hangars at Filton, vacated by Aviation Services in 2002. The bay is generally used to respray wide-bodied airliners, while smaller aircraft are painted at their Southend base. The bay is in constant use, with everything from a Dubai Goverment Boeing 747 to a preserved Supermarine Scimitar passing through.

 | 8th Oct 2004 | VC-10 at Filton
The VC-10 has had a long association with Filton. Some VC-10 parts were built at Filton, but the biggest link to Filton was the conversion of ex-Airline VC-10s to tankers for the RAF. There were two contracts, the first in the early 1980's for a batch of nine ex Gulf Air and East African Airways VC-10s, which were converted to K.2's and K.3's. The second was for a batch of 5 ex-British Airways Super VC-10s in the early 1990's, which were converted to K.4's.

 | 7th Apr 2004 | Z Bristol Survivors - Blenheims and Bolingbrokes
A crucial aircraft in the early years of World War 2 was the Bristol Blenheim. The Mk.I first flew in 1935, and over 6,000 were built in total. The only complete original Blenheim is in Finland, although there are a few wrecks in museums. All the rest are Canadian-built Bolingbrokes. Many of these survived after the second world war, as they were sold to local farmers for spares. These survived many years of Canadian winters, but most have now made it to museums, or have been placed in storage.
