The wings for the Airbus A400M miltary transport are designed and built at Filton. Final assembly of the A400M is done by CASA at Seville, in Southern Spain. The wings are transported to Spain in one of Airbuses fleet of Beluga aircraft. The aircraft are based on the Airbus A.300 airliner, but have a greatly enlarged fuselage to carry wings and other large components around Europe.

On 4th April 2007 a Beluga visited Filton to try out the new wing load site, and on 11th April the first set of wings were uploaded.
